Create a user account and join your project team

To start using Maptionnaire, each team member should create a personal Maptionnaire user account. We do not limit user accounts per subscription or charge extra for them – so every person working with Maptionnaire (whether short or long term) should create their own user account.

How to create a user account:

    1. Go to app.maptionnaire.com and click Register from the drop-down menu at the upper right corner.

    2. Enter your organization email address (not your private/personal email!) and come up with a secure password that is at least 12 characters in length. Click Register with email

    3. Click the link in the verification email sent to you. Your user account is now set.

    4. Log in to your new account and go to Profile to change your username from your initials to your full name.  

    5. Ask a member of your team to add you to your project team (if you are having an onboarding session with a Maptionnaire staff member, they will invite you instead).

How to join your project team:

A team is the workspace in which you can create and publish surveys and pages with other members of your team.

  1. After you have created your Maptionnaire user account (see instructions above), ask the admin of your Maptionnaire team to send you a team invitation. If you are just about to have an onboarding session with a Maptionnaire staff member, invitations will be issued by the staff member.

  2. Once you have been sent an invitation, login to Maptionnaire (at app.maptionnaire.com). A red dot will show up next to your user name as a sign of a pending invite. Please note that you will not be sent an email notification about the invitation! 

  3. Click your username on the top right corner, and choose Manage teams.

  4. Click the button that says Accept invitation. The red button should now disappear.

  5. To access the workspace of your team, click Go in the Manage teams menu or choose the team from the menu in the upper left corner of the screen.

User account settings

  1. Log in to Maptionnaire. Go to Profile from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner.

  2. You are now viewing your profile. You can navigate between different user account sections by clicking the tabs on the left.

    Under Profile you can change your Username, which was automatically generated when you registered. It's the name that shows publicly in Maptionnaire for other members of your team. Changing your username will not affect your login details.

  3. Go to the Settings tab to access your account settings. You can e.g. set up two-factor authentication and deactivate your account.
