Quick guide: Create a Maptionnaire landing page

What is the Webpage Builder?

The Pages/Webpage Builder module allows you to create a 'one-stop' online hub where the public can learn about and participate in different projects. It's a great way to continue the discussion beyond a single questionnaire and to make sure that the public knows where they can go for the latest information.

Here are some ideas of what you can do with this:

  • Provide stakeholders with more information
  • Share questionnaire results with the public
  • Ask for additional information that was not covered by the questionnaire
  • Keep stakeholders up-to-date about events and deadlines
  • Direct respondents to answer questionnaires via links or by embedding the questionnaire
  • Gather comments from the public

Ok, so how do I create one?

  1. Go to Pages and click New page. This will be the landing page.

  2. Go to Settings

Give the page a Public title and Description. Switch on Hide default header if you don't want them to be shown on top of the page.

Under Internal you can also give the page an Internal title so that it won't be listed as Untitled page in your team.

  3. Go to Edit. Click Add element and add content to the page. Drag and drop to change their order on the page.

Click the element on the page to open its editing window.  For each setting, you can get additional instructions by clicking the symbol.

If you want to change the layout of the page, add a Columns element.

  4. Click Preview to see what the page looks like. When you're ready to launch the page, click Publish. You can still edit the page, just remember to re-publish it every time to activate them in the live version.

  5. Repeat steps 1-4 to create as many other pages as needed. Come up with a shared tag for them and add it in Settings for each page.
  6. Return to the landing page. Add either the Carousel or Grid element to the page. Select Pages as its type and write the shared tag in the field below.
  7. Preview and publish. The landing page should now have a section listing the pages under it.

Want to make navigation between pages even easier? Add a Pages menu element.

Want to embed questions or even an entire questionnaire on the page? Then look into the iframe element.
