File download

In contrast to the File upload question element, which enables respondents to upload their files as responses, the File download element makes it possible to embed documents (e.g. Word, PDF...) to your survey for the respondents to download. In our example, we have embedded the survey's privacy policy to the survey in this way: by clicking the button, respondents can download and view the policy document. 

To set up this element, simply add it from the element library to the survey page where you want to feature it, and edit its look and text. Please note that if you do not fill in the File name, we will automatically generate a string of numbers and/or letters as the name. You can upload the document either when setting up the element, or prior to it by adding it to the Documents section in your Materials.
