A background image is any image file (e.g. PNG, JPG) that you want to have on the background.
- Make sure that the file is a reasonable size (preferably under 1MB) and upload it to Materials. The recommended dimensions for the image are max. 1920×1080 (the most common laptop screen size), min. 1280×800 (budget laptop screen size).
- Go to the questionnaire page where you want to use it. Go to the page's Settings.
- Select Background image as the Page type

Scroll down to Add image, click the field under it and select the image from the drop-down menu.
If the image should be used on all pages, set it by selecting the option from Actions.
Interactive images are image files (e.g. PNG, JPG) that the respondents can draw or place pins on. You can analyze the data collected in this way in Maptionnaire's built-in analysis tool.

If the image should be used on all pages, set it by selecting the option from Actions.

The image should now be visible on the right side of the editor. Set its default zoom level (the view you want respondents to see when they enter the survey) and click Set under Default view to save it.
