You can:
Track how effective different distribution strategies and marketing campaigns are
Send individualized links to participants and track who has participated (e.g. working with a panel company to reach a certain number of respondents)
Steps
- Publish the questionnaire in test mode.
-
Copy the survey URL.
-
Add a question mark (?) to the end of the survey URL.
https://app.maptionnaire.com/q/parks? -
Then add the parameters that you want to track. For example, if you want to create different URLs to be used in Facebook, Reddit and newsletters, you could create the following links:
https://app.maptionnaire.com/q/parks?source=fb https://app.maptionnaire.com/q/parks?source=rd https://app.maptionnaire.com/q/parks?source=nlIf you are creating unique links for each participant, enter each participant's ID after "respondent="
If you are using specific UTM trackers, see this article.
-
Go to the survey's first page. Add the Panel tracker element from the element library.
Under Parameter, write the term that comes after ?, e.g. source in the example above. Under Label, write a column heading for the results Excel, e.g. "Website/ad source"
If you are working with a panel company, go to Settings > Publication > Direct respondents to this website after the last page. Add the destination URL provided by the panel company. If you are not working with a panel company, you can skip this step.
-
Publish the questionnaire again in test mode to activate changes.
-
Access the survey using one of the links, and then download the results Excel from Export to see that it's recorded.
Screening out eligible participants
Maptionnaire does not have any 'screen out' functions, but you can use the branching logic to direct certain respondents to the last page of the survey without responding to any questions. You can also monitor how many respondents in e.g. different demographic categories you have in the analysis tool or by periodically exporting the results Excel during data collection.
