Why branding matters
Trust is the foundation of any good community engagement project. When residents feel confident that their data is handled by a legitimate source, they’re far more likely to participate.
Matching your survey’s look and feel to your organization’s brand, using familiar logos, colors, and fonts, is the simplest way to show that a project is official. This visual consistency reassures people that the survey is safe, professional, and directly linked to the city or firm they already know.
How to implement survey branding
You can ensure your surveys reflect your brand identity through the following methods:
Use Your Logo:
Upload your logo and add it to the first page of the survey using the platform's Image element.
You can adjust the image size and corner alignment to fit the design.

This includes spacer elements, the page background, and even the appearance of features on maps.
When building mapping questions (e.g. Map point, line, or area), match the colors with your brand identity
Create Brand Style Templates (Available at Communicate subscription level):
In Settings > Style, you can create a reusable style template that incorporates your brand's specific color palette and fonts, as well as other visual aspects.
-
Once created, it can be quickly applied to any new surveys your team creates, saving time and ensuring consistency.

Save Custom Color Palettes for Analysis (Available on most subscription levels):
You can create and save custom color palettes directly within the analysis tool.
This makes it easy to apply your brand's colors to all the charts and maps you generate for reports or presentations, maintaining visual consistency from the survey to the final output.
The platform also allows for flexibility, enabling you to maintain multiple custom style templates and color palettes to easily adapt to different clients' brand identities as needed.
