What is this?
Microsoft Entra ID allows employees to use the same login credentials across all software used by your organization. This simplifies access management and improves security. For example, when an employee leaves the organization, removing them from Entra automatically revokes access to all connected services.
For employees, Entra ID also makes logging in easier—they only need to remember a single username and password.
How can I use this in Maptionnaire?
To use Microsoft Entra ID with Maptionnaire, your organization must already have Entra ID set up. Once that's in place, contact Maptionnaire. Our technical team will work with your Entra administrators to configure the integration.
Please note: Enabling Microsoft Entra ID authentication involves an additional setup service and may result in a small change to your subscription pricing.
Does this have any limitations in comparison with traditional sign-in (where different login credentials are used for different software)?
When setting up the Microsoft Entra ID integration, you need to already decide what roles (=access levels) your team (=your Maptionnaire workspace) will include, and what permissions each role includes. These cannot be changed in Maptionnaire if you use Entra. Similarly, the same employee cannot have different roles in different subgroups (=workspaces under the main workspace); if they are a Producer in Subgroup A, they will also be a Producer in Subgroup B.
