Filter map data by other questions

  1. Click Filters on the top bar to open the filtering panel.

  2. Choose the filter type:
    • 'Questions': When the filter condition is one of the questions in the survey, excluding map questions or questions in their pop-up. E.g. you want to see how different age groups answered, so you use the 'How old are you?' question.
    • 'Pop-up questions': These are the questions asked in the pop-up that comes after respondent places an answer on the map, e.g. 'How often do you visit this place?'. It only filters the map responses it is directly related to.
    • 'Spatial filters': If you identify an interesting cluster on the map, draw borders around it to see only responses made by those respondents. Read more.
    • 'Tags': These filters work once you have assigned map comments different tags. Enables you to show map responses related to a specific tag only.
  3. Click Add filter to add a filter and choose a specific condition.Screenshot 2025-07-01 at 11.03.58.png
  4. Click Apply to apply the filter. The map now shows only the pins/lines/areas that fit this condition.
Good to know:
  • Multiple filter conditions can be applied at the same time.

  • When there are multiple conditions, you can choose whether responses need to match all of them or any of them from Filter mode.

  • It is also possible to show the map responses in different colors depending on the response (conditional formatting)
