Cluster analysis is an AI-assisted feature that identifies clusters in map point response data. It's ideal for finding the locations that drew most respondent activity.

  1. Go to Analyze > Map responses.

  2. Open Tools menu and select 'Cluster analysis'.

  3. The map should now generate clusters based on the map responses. You can:

    • select which responses to include in the cluster
    • adjust cluster radius, density and size
    • select a different color for the clusters

You can also adjust the area the cluster encompasses by dragging from any of the shape's corners.

  4. Examine the clusters in closer detail by clicking the arrow next to its name. The list brings you insights into what kind of cluster this is – e.g. what is the profile of the respondents, what themes are related to this cluster. It compares the responses made by the cluster respondents with the overall dataset.

  5. You can save a specific cluster by clicking 'Save as new view'.

The cluster can then be found in the 'Saved views' menu.
