Questionnaire web address (URL)

Questionnaire URL

URL_published.png

Once you have published your questionnaire in Maptionnaire (by clicking 'Publish'), a web address or URL is automatically generated for the questionnaire (as shown in the image below). It is stable, meaning that even if you publish a new version of the questionnaire, the web address won't change. You can share this link with your respondents.

Customize your questionnaire URL

It may be good to customize your Maptionnaire survey link to something shorter and snappier. For example, the link in the image above was shortened to http://mpt.link/budgetingdemo.

Customizing links is easy and fast. Simply send us a message at support@maptionnaire and we will generate it for you. Remember to include in your message the existing link to the questionnaire and the custom URL ending (under 25 characters, and containing only letters and numbers) you would like to use ! Please note that the shorter URL will always begin with http://mpt.link and that drafts cannot be given customized URLs, as they need to be published first.

Language version URLs

If you have different language versions of your questionnaire, you can simply add ?lang=[the abbreviation code for the language] to the link, e.g. ?lang=fi for Finnish, and the link will direct respondents to the translation.

List of the currently available languages and their codes:

  • Cantonese – yue
  • Danish – da
  • Dutch – nl
  • English – en
  • Filipino – tl
  • Finnish – fi
  • French – fr
  • German – de
  • Hmong – hmn
  • Norwegian – no
  • Slovenian – sl
  • Spanish – es
  • Swedish – sv
  • Vietnamese – vi

Redirect URL

A redirect URL is the internet address where you want to direct the respondents when they have submitted their responses. It can be for example a project page or your organization's website.

You can set up a redirect URL under the General tab in questionnaire settings.
