When a questionnaire is published in test mode:

  • It's online
  • People can test it without needing to be team members
  • You can look at the test data in Analyze and download the Excel output from ResultsThis check will tell you if you have chosen the right question types and can save you a lot of time in the analysis stage!
  • You can still edit the survey as much as you want
  • The questionnaire has a public URL and a QR code that won't change anymore (unless you add a custom ending in Settings)

After a final version of the questionnaire has been published:

  • Data collection starts
  • You can still make some changes, e.g. correct typos and add translations
  • You cannot change the answer options in multiple choice questions, page types or the map layers associated with Pop-up map or Select map elements without consulting our support team
  • The questionnaire cannot be reversed back to test or draft mode
  • You have used up one questionnaire from your subscription quota
