The panel on the left-hand side shows all multiple choice and text questions from the survey. Click specific questions to view responses or click Add all charts.
-
Click a chart to take a closer look and to edit how the data is visualized and formatted. You can also add a color palette that is applied automatically across all charts, or filter the charts based on different conditions. Cross-tabulation is also possible.
- To view map responses, click the Map responses tab on the upper left hand corner of the screen.
-
The left-hand side panel shows all the map questions. Tick the box next to a question to add the responses to the map.
-
Click any map pin/line/area to view attached comments. The 'Explore' tab allows you to zoom closer to an interesting areas and view relevant comments in the side panel.
-
You can visualize the map data in different ways (incl. apply a heatmap) and apply different filters.
The 'Charts' and 'Map responses' parts of the analysis tool are in dialogue: when filters related to questions other than those in the map pop-ups are turned on, they filter both the map responses and the charts.
The Spatial filter allows you to circle an area of interest on the map and filter the charts to show e.g. only open text responses related to map pins placed within that area.
You can also group responses by assigning tags to them.
- When you finish working in the analysis tool, remember to save the maps and charts by clicking Save view. Once saved, the view can be found in the 'Saved views' list. There can be multiple views saved, and each can be further edited (just remember to save any changes you make by clicking 'Save view' again!).
-
You can download individual charts and map views as PNG files (Export chart); map data can also be downloaded from the analysis tool as shp or geoJSON. It's also possible to export all the charts in a Microsoft Word docx, and to build a public online report with them (and maps) using the Online reports feature.
