Maptionnaire's analysis tool can generate a written report from your survey results. The report includes an AI-written narrative built from your open-ended answers, plus the charts and map cluster analysis from your analysis views — it is not limited to open text.

How to generate it:

Go to the analysis tool. Click the AI symbol and select Generate report automatically.

Click Generate report.

AI generates the report from your open-ended answers, charts, and map cluster analysis. This might take a couple of minutes. Once ready, the report will open automatically in the browser window:

Click any section to view what it is based on and to edit (scroll down to read more on this).

You can also edit the style of the report to match it with your brand.

Finally, download the report in one of the available file formats or copy the link to the online format.
How to review the report and edit its content
Nothing in the report is final — every section can be edited, reordered, or removed, and the underlying views are ordinary saved analysis views you can open and change later.

Review and adjust tags. The narrative is written from tags, so check the tags before you trust the narrative. Click a section to see the tags. Click 'Edit view in analysis tool' to take a look at the data it is based on.

Click the open comment question to read ten or so answers and check that the tags look sensible. Use the tag filter above the table to look at one tag at a time — usually the fastest way to spot a tag that's being applied too loosely.
It's also always worth checking the comments that AI did not tag:

If something is off, fix it at either level:
A single answer is tagged wrong: edit its tags directly in the table (or in the response popup on the map) by clicking the pen icon. Manually applied tags behave exactly like AI-applied ones: they filter the map, count in the tag chart, and come along in the Excel export.
The whole set of tags is wrong: click Edit next to the tag group, type the tags you want the answers grouped into, and re-tag. The AI then sorts the answers into your tags instead of its own — useful if you already have a coding frame, a policy vocabulary, or tags from an earlier round of engagement you need this survey to be comparable with.
If you change tags after generating a report, Maptionnaire tells you which sections now describe tags that no longer hold, and offers to refresh them.

You can also edit any of the charts, e.g. add data labels or change the way the data is presented.
