Allow only one respondent per device+browser

What is this?

Under Qustionnaire settings > Publication, there is a setting called Allow only one respondent per device+browser (formerly Maintain respondent session). It is turned on by default in all questionnaires.

What does it do?

When this setting is turned on, Maptionnaire detects if someone enters the questionnaire twice with the same device+internet browser combination.

• A respondent can return to change or add to their responses
• It's more difficult for anyone to spam the questionnaire 

What should I do if multiple respondents share a device? Or if a researcher is collecting responses from multiple people?

You have three options:

• Simply turn the setting off 
• Use a reset link in sessions with shared devices
• Create a copy of the questionnaire to be used with the setting turned off
