When your AI report is ready, you can turn it into a public web page that anyone with the link can read, for example to share the results with residents, stakeholders or the media. The page is a Project Page: a simple web page about your project that is separate from your survey, which you can edit and publish. Project Pages are included in Communicate and higher subscriptions. With a Collect subscription you can still download the report as a Word, PDF or PowerPoint file.
Used to publishing the report with one click? The report no longer has a one-click publish option. Instead, you create a Project Page from the report, check and edit it, and publish it. This gives you control over what the public sees before it goes online.
Before you start
You need a generated AI report for your survey. If you don't have one yet, see Generate a survey results report using AI. Review the report before you turn it into a page: the text is written from tags, so check the tags first. The same article explains how.
Turn the report into a page
-
Open the report.
Go to the analysis tool, open Tools and select Open report.
-
Create the page.
At the top of the report preview, click the arrow next to Create project page and select Create.
-
Edit the page.
The new page opens in the Preview mode; click Edit to move to the editor.
Each heading, text, chart and map is an element. You can edit the page like any Project Page. Click an element to change it:
Re-order elements on the page by dragging them. Click the + symbol to add new elements from the element library (e.g. to add images or to change the layout – see Add content to your Project Pages for every element and its settings).
Delete anything you don't want the public to see
To change the fonts and colors, click the palette button (Style template) at the top right; you can also adjust the containter width.
You can also change the way the report is divided into sections by dragging elements in and out of the sections. The Section marker signifies where the page is divided into a new section. You can add and delete them as you wish.
-
If you need to update the charts and maps, make the changes in the analysis tool and then click this icon to update them on the page.
-
Preview and publish.
Click Preview to see what visitors will see. When you are ready, click Publish. You can still edit the page afterwards. Just remember to publish again to put your changes on the live page.
The page's link and QR code are created the first time you publish, and they stay the same when you publish again. You can find them, and set a custom link ending, under Publish. See Project Page web address (URL) and QR code.
Check before you publish
- Respondents' comments appear as they wrote them. If your survey promised anonymity, read the quotes and remove anything that could identify a person.
- Read the AI-written text. Check that it matches what you see in the data, especially themes based on only a few answers.
- Check the page on a phone. Many visitors will open the link on their phone.
Keep the page up to date
The charts and maps on the page stay connected to your survey data. To refresh them with the latest responses, open the page and click the chart icon on the right. See Share charts on a project page.
Take the page offline
You can take a Project Page offline at any time, or delete it. See Take a Project Page offline or delete it.
